Skin
Gallery is an
arts initiative created in conjunction with Arts Access
Victoria and the Skin &
Cancer Foundation Inc.
The Skin
Gallery provides local artists with the opportunity to display their works
and a creative outlook for Foundation patients and staff.
Established
in July of 2012 Skin Gallery has proudly hosted eleven exhibitions and
showcased the work of 55 artists with disability. For many Skin Gallery has
provided the first step towards a professional arts practice, for others, such
as blind photographer, Andrew Follows, and painter Rachel McBride, it has been
one of many public outcomes both nationally and internationally.
The
Skin Gallery is curated by award winning artist and curator KimAnderson.
